Pioneers, Trails and Oregon 150
The Meeker wagon, a group of pioneer re-enactors and a yoke of oxen made their way south to Jacksonville, Oregon, in mid-June 2009 to lead a parade celebration for the Oregon sesquicentennial. For more information, contact The Puyallup Historical Society at Meeker Mansion.
The Meeker Wagon
Prior to his 1906 Old Oregon Trail Monument Expedition, Ezra Meeker rebuilt several wagons out of parts of earlier ones. The actual wagon he took on his expedition is in the Washington State Historical Society Museum; we have the other.
